The game is based off of the popular CLAMP title Chobits and stays true to the original story of Chobits while adding a chunk of original ideas/people!
Story (10/10)
After reading the manga/watching the show, you'll come to love the story in Chobits, fortunately since this game has the exact same story but with maybe a minor twist from time to time. For those who are unaware of the story of Chobits, it centers on a 17 year old guy by the name of Hideki Motosuwa, he resides in an alternate universe of sorts thats filled with things known as Persocom's, a Persocom simply put is a Personal Computer. Unfortunately though, Hideki could never afford a Persocom of his own, and the story begins with him finding an unattended, tied up persocom in a pile of trash, he takes the Persocom home and later discovers as the story progresses that there is a possiblilty that his Persocom is something known as a Chobit. The Story then develops entertainingly around the idea of Chi (Thats what Hideki named her) being a Chobit.
Graphics (7/10)
The graphics however are a real let down, from screen shots one might think it was a Cel-shaded game, but unfortunately it consists of 2D images and bad frame rate, that is made up for however by the presence of many scene extracted directly from the show. But foretunately the actual 2D images do look quite good, and besides that, you can never really deny Chi's cuteness no matter the frame rate.
Sound/Music (9/10)
Another good point however is the abundance of the actual Voice Actors and a ton a music you'll recognize from the anime, but it is let down by the naming system, at one point Chi can learn to say your name, whatever it is you choose it to be (The default is not Hideki, it's left blank) but it does sound pretty weirdly synthesized and without good knowledge of Japanese you'll probably have trouble trying to get it to not sound synthesized. Apart from that though it's perfectly good!
Game play (10/10)
Now this is quite easily the best part of the game, it's easily one of the most unique I've ever played. To start with you've got to sort out your weekly schedule, choose whether your gonna attend school or work on what days etc. and you earn money from your job to buy stuff such as food or clothes for you or Chi etc. Plus the fun mini games from time to time are immensely entertaining!
Replay (7/10)
This game however is let down again, but this time by its Replay value, once you win there are a couple of new options available and for someone like me, they'll keep you addicted for hours on end, but I have a strong feeling that after a small while after winning normal people might find no reason to continue due to it's seeming repetitiveness.
Overall (9/10)
This game is a great experience and even more so if you're a fan of the series/comics, but if you're not a fan i'd still recommend getting this game just for sheer coolness however you probably won't feel a joyful as a fan would when you get a cameo/meet characters from the manga/anime.
Literally, it's a CLAMP masterpiece come to life as the title suggests.
